10th Anniversary Book

To commemorate OtterCares’ 10th anniversary, the organization sought a book that captured its journey from inception through its decade of impact, while also setting the stage for its future. The resulting book—a 100+ page, 11-chapter, perfect-bound piece—needed to tell a cohesive story while reflecting the vibrancy of OtterCares’ mission.

The Challenge

With a one-month timeline to complete the layout and printing process, this project required meticulous planning and execution. The theme, “Brushstrokes of Impact,” and the anniversary logo had already been created, along with additional artwork tied to the event and campaign theme. My task was to weave these elements together into a cohesive and polished book design—all while managing my regular workload at OTM.

The Process

Using InDesign, I relied on master pages to create a consistent layout across the book while allowing for creative flexibility within individual chapters. To align with the campaign’s brushstroke theme, I incorporated these elements as textures throughout the design. They appeared as subtle yet dynamic accents behind chapter titles, page numbers, and pull quotes, tying the pages together visually and thematically.

The Outcome

Despite the tight deadline, the final book was delivered on time, capturing the spirit of OtterCares in both its content and design. The result was a visually cohesive and on brand book that celebrated OtterCares’ legacy and inspired excitement for its future. This project was a rewarding challenge that showcased my ability to manage tight timelines, maintain creative excellence, and deliver a polished final product that met the client’s vision.
